Ewe on the Farm

Building a Community of Skills to Share

Our Farm Programs

Growing Real Food, One Step at a Time

True nutrition begins with the quality of your food’s source — and growing your own is one of the most rewarding ways to ensure it. Starting small allows you to learn, adapt, and build confidence over time. Our garden began modestly with a few grow bags on the patio, then expanded to a series of raised beds where we grew seasonal vegetables and herbs. As our experience and needs grew, we developed a larger in-ground garden, giving us space for a wider variety of crops, including perennials and staple foods. Every garden is a journey, shaped by your environment, your goals, and your willingness to learn. No matter your starting point, the key is simply to begin.

Farm-to-Table Herding Program

At our farm, we specialize in raising sheep for their milk — a highly nutritious and versatile dairy product. Sheep milk is ideal for drinking, cheese making, and other dairy creations when paired with the proper cultures. It boasts the highest levels of fat and protein among small ruminant milks and contains exceptionally small fat globules, making it the easiest to digest. This rich fat content is what gives sheep milk its reputation for producing some of the finest cheeses in the world. We proudly raise East Friesian sheep, a renowned tri-purpose breed valued for their superior wool, meat, and milk production.

Building Community Through Shared Skills

Strong communities are built when people come together to share their skills, their knowledge, and their passion. At our farm, we believe in learning from one another, just as communities have done for generations. We host monthly, hands-on classes covering a wide range of homesteading topics. Join us to learn traditional skills like canning and preserving, crafting herbal remedies and first aid, baking artisan breads, and caring for sheep and goats — including birthing and milking techniques. Each class offers practical experience, meaningful connections, and a chance to strengthen your self-reliance. Interested in attending a class or teaching one? We welcome new faces and new skills. Contact us to learn more and become part of our growing community.
